Yes, Bima Platform is licensed to operate by the Capital Market Authority to operate as an insurance broker under the name “Insurance House LLC”.

Bima is designed to make market prices available to customers, enabling them to compare insurance companies’ offers in a clear and easy manner. It also enables visitors to choose the suitable insurance solution and to pay online.

Bima operates 24/7 to provide the following services:

Customer Service processes applications from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Policy issuance normally takes 15 minutes to an hour, but it could take more, especially if insurance procedures are made outside working hours of insurance companies and require additional approvals. Occasionally, high traffic at Bima causes longer waiting periods.

When a customer pays the insurance amount to Bima, such customer has submitted an insurance application as agreed and according to the chosen offer. The customer shall not be entitled to any insurance coverage until the insurance policy is issued. If the vehicle is used before the insurance policy is issued, the customer will be held accountable if the previous insurance has expired.

After a customer electronically pays the insurance amount, they will be asked to send their documents (Driving License and Vehicle Proof of Ownership) via the Website, phone or WhatsApp.

Once a customer sends the necessary documents, a Customer Service Officer will issue an insurance policy after verifying the received data.

Customers can ask for a refund of the paid amount through a phone call, WhatsApp message, or email.

  • If the request is made before the policy is issued, the full amount will be refunded.
  • If the policy was issued, the amount will be refunded less any cancellation charges by the insurance company.
  • If the issue was caused by Bima but did not result in a claim, the full amount will be refunded.

  • We always seek to obtain more discounts for customers, and in many cases, we get further discounts.
  • If we succeed in obtaining additional discounts, we will return the difference in the form of a cash coupon for future use.
  • Some insurance companies exclude the orange paper (2 Omani Rials). If unpaid, Bima adds it to the total.
  • If the amount paid is less due to a Bima error, we will cover up to 10% of the insurance value. If higher, the customer may pay the difference or request a refund.
  • If underpayment is due to a customer’s mistake, a message will be sent to pay the remaining amount, which may cause delays.

  • The insured may lose insurance benefits if they intentionally provided false information.
  • Bima may take necessary actions if falsified documents or false information were submitted.
  • Always review the insurance application before payment to ensure correct data.

  • Bima provides the most affordable market prices among its partner insurance companies.
  • Sometimes offers differ in coverage, so the price might appear higher.
  • Insurance companies set the prices; Bima cannot overcharge customers as it would violate regulations.
